Development of learning ability in secondary education system

Secondary education serves as a ground between abecedarian and advanced education and prepares youthful persons between the age group of 14-18 for entry into advanced education. The population of children in the 14-18 age groups (the age for secondary and elderly secondary position education) has been estimated at 96.6 million, as projected by the National Sample Survey Organization in 1996-97. Still, registration numbers show that only 27 million children were attending secondary seminaries, which means that two thirds of the eligible population remains out of the secondary academy system. Participation of the private sector in the operation of secondary seminaries with sanctioned recognition and, in numerous cases, with fiscal backing, has also increased. Private organization presently manage around 51 per cent of secondary seminaries and 58 per of advanced secondary seminaries. In order to meet the educational requirements of those who haven't been suitable to en roll themselves in the formal system, openings have been handed through the National and State Open Schools, utilize contact centers and multi-media packages.
