Leadership and service quality have been connected, and both have a substantial impact on one another. Over the past few years, research has been more and more interested in effective leadership in the healthcare industry. The government of Cameroon has placed a lot of emphasis on leadership qualities in an effort to improve the nation's healthcare system. There have been assertions that excellent leadership is the key to ensuring high-quality service delivery. One of the fastest-growing fields of research in recent years has been that which examines how the leader affects how the workers manage the quality of their services. Recognizing these opportunities entails actions like scanning the external environment for potential new markets, looking for ways to address unmet consumer demands, fixing issues that have already arisen while working, and encouraging the emergence of ideas for new products. This is because leaders are essential to the creation of group norms and to helping employees deal with and overcome problems when they arise.
The current study investigated how different leadership philosophies affected the calibre of care provided in hospitals run by the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services. Researchers have identified numerous leadership styles based on the many leadership traits. Therefore, depending on the leadership qualities that the leaders possess, it is possible to argue that some leadership styles are more prevalent among some leaders than others claimed that good leadership is the result of the interaction between the individual and the social situations and is not necessarily the result of a predetermined set of traits. It was noted that leadership style might be applicable in one person more than another due to a combination of many other factors. The top-level management expectations should be developed and effectively conveyed to leaders and their subordinates.
The leader should clearly identify the roles, obligations, and needs of every employee as a method of demonstrating dedication to their role in the organisation. Inferential statistical tests must be used in order to draw broad conclusions regarding how different leadership philosophies affect the standard of care provided by hospital staff. When a sample of data has a normal distribution and a set of parameters, parametric statistical tests are typically utilised. Nonparametric statistical tests are used when the population parameter distribution is unknown. Additionally, development is subordinated by the fundamental tenet of transformational leadership. In order to help their subordinates achieve their goals, transformational leaders frequently empower them to adapt well to the current environment. We also looked at the most prevalent leadership styles in health facilities and found that employees preferred transformational leadership over other styles, such as transactional leadership.
